I got mine done 2 months ago. I am not going to lie to you, it was 30 seconds of hell, but after that, it was a breeze. It it tolerable during those 30 seconds…don’t freak out. lol Mine got infected afterwards bc I didn’t do my research beforehand & I had to wait 10 days to get all the aftercare products delivered. It is infected now too but that is bc I got makeup in it. Therefore, I have to bump up my aftercare care. It is a learning experience. I set an appointment for Tuesday for my doctor to take it out, but I probably won’t have it taken out yet. I think I am going to try to ride this out a few more months to see if I can heal it properly bc I really love it. Everyone else (My son, husband, & sister) hate it.

Yes, it is a natural body response for the body to try to reject & expel the dermal.

As advised I clean it twice a day with a saline solution. I spend a fair bit of time at the gym & that hasn’t been impacted on at all. People have commented & most agree (at least to my face) that it suits me. It didn’t hurt much (to be totally disgusting I would equate the feeling with trying to pop a blind pimple) & the swelling went down within hours. Best thing you can do if you’re considering one is to go to a very experienced piercing studio & ask lots of questions. It also helps if you’re healthy & look after yourself. Things can go wrong no matter how well prepared you are but if you’re well healthy & committed to looking after it there is a good chance it will work out.

I can take pain pretty well, I have a number of body piercings. The only problem I’m running into is I’m also a cheerleader. I feel I am more at risk of getting them ripped out. Could they physically be pulled out? And when I pull on a shirt, will they get caught? I need these answered, and some suggestions for my situation. Thanks! 🙂

However it is important to keep it clean…I got pounded with flour and confetti filled eggs on Easter and my piercing had a reaction to the flour…the person had rubbed the flour in so I’m assuming that’s why it got irritated…. And now I have some pain in my chest….are there any creams or anti bacterial items I can use to ensure it doesnt get infected?

Your belly button may not reject a piercing but your eyebrow may. It all depends on YOUR body. So if your back is keeping them but your chest is rejecting them thats just the way the cookie crumbled. Our skin is very different all over our bodies. I’ve had numerous piercings some worked out and some didn’t. It is a risk YOU take. Same with pain level. What may hurt me, may not hurt you. We all feel pain differently. Not to mention when it is done and over we all tend to forget how bad something really was. Read about what you want, go to a shop and ask questions, make sure you are confident you want what you are getting. There is no rush….

I currently have all except the belly b/c of my job… Too dangerous but I’m thinking of getting lower back dimple dermals : are they worth the trouble ?

How am I supposed to eat with my tongue being pierced?

I went and got another one under it and it popped out a week later. I have two in my hips and now it looks like one is getting infected. My guy who does them said they usally don’t last longer than a few years.
